ProSauce Founder Stella West-Harling MBE Highly Commended at Women in Food & Drink Awards 2026
ProSauce Founder and CEO Stella West-Harling MBE has been recognised among this year’s leading women in food and drink, receiving Highly Commended in the Product Developer of the Year category at the Women in Food & Drink Awards 2026.
The national recognition celebrates women leading the creation, reformulation and innovation of food and drink products that respond to changing consumer and nutritional needs.
For Stella and the ProSauce team, the award marks an important milestone in the development of a product created with a clear purpose: to help improve daily protein intake through familiar, everyday meals.
ProSauce has been developed to support the nutritional needs of older people, those on protein-deficient diets, and active consumers or athletes looking to increase protein as part of a balanced diet. Its application across care, healthcare, education and public-sector catering makes it a practical ingredient for kitchens where nutrition, consistency, flavour and ease of use all matter.
Unlike specialist supplements that may sit outside normal mealtimes, ProSauce has been created to work within the meals people already know and enjoy. This makes it especially relevant for caterers looking to support better protein enrichment without adding unnecessary complexity to busy kitchen operations.
Speaking about the award recognition, Stella West-Harling MBE said:
“This award adds further recognition that ProSauce is more than a product: it is a credible, purpose-led ingredient developed with practical kitchen use, nutrition and consistency in mind. The award reinforces ProSauce’s role in helping caterers deliver better protein enrichment through everyday meals. I am humbled by the recognition for me and my team.”
The Highly Commended recognition reflects years of research, development and determination behind ProSauce, as well as Stella’s commitment to creating food innovation with genuine social value.
For potential customers, the award provides further reassurance that ProSauce is not simply a high-protein ingredient, but a carefully developed solution designed around real-world catering challenges. It supports teams who need products that are practical, scalable and consistent, while helping meet the increasing focus on better nutrition across care homes, hospitals, schools and wider public-sector food service.
Stella added:
“Our focus has always been on making protein enrichment easier to deliver through everyday food. This recognition is a proud moment, but more importantly it helps shine a light on the nutritional challenges ProSauce was created to support.”
As demand grows for smarter, more functional food solutions, ProSauce continues to build its reputation as a purpose-led innovation for caterers, nutrition teams and food service operators looking to deliver better protein intake in a simple, familiar and effective way.
